Antiquity...strings?

Pure nickel wound strings on a LP is definitely the vintage tone. I wouldn't call them "dull", but they are certainly warmer.

As the years have passed, so have my choice of strings. I used to love the 9-46 pure nickel, but soon changed to 10-52 for many years. Now I'm older and weaker and have found that I really like the EB 9.5-44 set. Plus I've gotten away from pure nickel because I really like a more bright, less warm tone. So far I'm extremely happy with this EB Primo set.
