Any ADA MP1 users? Got a Q about midi pedals

Will any midi footswitch work with an ADA MP1 preamp? There's a few on Ebay for around $100, but only one with a foot pedal and it's $300 for the MP1 and pedal.

Can I just get any midi footswitch for it?

Yes, I've used an ART MIDI pedal to run a rack with an MP-1 in it. MIDI is a standard communication protocol.

ADA MP-1 is a very cool amp. Wish I had one back in the day. Should have grabbed one from a pawn shop a few years back.

Hook it up to a Crate Powerblock!

I think the Rolls Midi Buddy is about the best pedal out there.

I still have mine that I used with my MP1 .

My MPI rack fell out of the group van on the way from a gig and smashed to bits on the motorway and I couldn't get another... gutted.

Been using a Marshall JMP1 ever since.

Yup. Same setup I used to run. I had the ADA and also an ART DR-X in the rack. I started with an X-11 pedal and ended-up with the X-15. Used the crap out of them on the road for years. Still got the X-15, but it's got a few funky switches. I think it's gathering dust in a corner somewhere.

I used a Digitech midi controller, for mine. I sold my entire rack years ago, and went back to Marshall heads, but I really wish I would've kept a few pieces. Especially the ADA, and MosValve.
