Any APH-1 bridge users?

Re: Any APH-1 bridge users?

I love the APH1
It has a spongy quality with a glassy top, that is clear and bright without the harsh highs. Very sweet, indeed! One of my fave low output pups!

Quite a lot of low end for a vintage pup, although it doest have vintage output, its pretty loud to my ears.

Re: Any APH-1 bridge users?

I bought a pair of APH1 to replace the DiMarzios in my MusicMan VH. I wanted lower output PUs and I knew that they sounded great when splitted. A few years later I tried one of my friend's VH with oirignal pu, and replaced the bridge DiMarzio, cause the high output was more what i was looking for at the time. Recently, I was experimenting with pus in a Blade strat. I wanted to try a bridge humbucker in it. I tried an old JBJ that sounds fantastic, but i ended up with the aph1, because it mixes way better with the single coils. I really love the mids of this pu. and when you crank the drive, you have this great thick tone. everybody talks about the neck aph1, but the bridge pu deserves more recognition IMO.

That there has just really made me want to try this pickup in my strat with my vitrual vintage blues middle and neck...sounds like a go-er!

I love the APH-1 Bridge or neck. Smooth tone ,big round notes,Never shrill. Sounds great clean. A good balance from Vintage clean to modern crunch.:D

Well it measures 8.14.
And the magnet is light grey, the wire is that reddish copper colour, 4 conductor wire, no markings sadly.
Otherwise a clean looking pickup.
Can't decide what guitar I should try it in?

Great pup! Mine measure 8.2 which is pretty hot for an A2P. I really dig the rounded sound that pup has. I put it in the neck when my brobucker came in and it sounds great there too!
