any body made any Hybrid for the neck position?

just wondering... i saw the thread on hybrids but i didn't see if anybody found anything they like in the neck position... i have a heritage 140-cm les paul style guitar with a duncan 59 in the bridge but i haven't found anything i liked in the neck yet... everthing sounds too muddy to me... so i was thinking about a 59/alnicoII hybrid or something like that.... i have a duncan jazz in my explorer but that seems too bassy for what i'd need in my heritage... any suggestions?
