Any Danelectro Fab Series Pedal users out there ?

Hey guys, as most of you know, I got a NM condition, 1988 Fender Studio 85 combo a few weeks ago. I had to swap my 1989 Peavey bandit along with my Digitech RP-50 effects processor for it. Don't get me wrong, I think I got the better part of the deal but, I missed having some effects with my sound so I took a chance and ordered a Danelectro Fab Chorus pedal from Music 123 last week. It came in a few days ago and I have to say, for $15.00 I think I got one heck of a deal here. This is one real neat sounding pedal for the price. I like it so much , I went and ordered a Fab Distortion yesterday to go with my rig. What are your thoughts on these pedals folks ? I've read the reviews on Musicians Friend and they have gotten pretty good reviews, especially the Fab Distortion.

FAB Chorus sounds great for the $$$.

I have a FAB Echo which I modded for adjustable delay time and feedback.
Sounds amazing for the price too. I'd like to re-house it though--for durability, and also to place the knobs in a more useable configuration.

I just got my Fab Distortion in yesterday and IMO , it blows away the Boss DS-1 . I couldn't believe that damn thing was only going for 15 bucks. I love it.

I liked the OD and metal ones a lot but in the end I sold them (for about what I paid for them, which was surprising) - they worked well and all, but it seemed strange to have my nicer ones sitting there while using the cheapos.

The Dano Fab series are some good stuff.

The Mini series has a few serious winners too.

I bought the distortion and over drive just because they were so cheap I figured they were worth having around as backups. And they both sounded really good. I never ended up using them on stage, just as bedroom practice toys.

And the both died on me within about 6 months. The switches and enclosures and jacks are just crap. For the price I wouldn't expect anything better, but it's too bad. Without a rehouse I would never trust them for a live gig. For bedroom practicing and (I suppose) recording, you can't bet the price, though-

Really ? I already used both my Chorus and Distortion this past Sunday night on a gig with my band and they held up exceedingly well. as long as you don't go ballistic on them, they'll last you a long time . I bought a adaptor so I won't have to spend a ton of coin on batteries. I'm using them through my Fender Studio 85 combo and they sound great.

I went very easy. They are cheaply made junk, like it or not. There's a reason they cost next to nothing. They sound cool, but they are not going to last, plain and simple.

Of course they'll make it through ONE gig, anything would.
