Re: Any delay pedal that runs at "line" level???
well, what i'm running into is that stomp-box pedals run at "instrument" level and are meant, typically,to be used in front of the amp(i.e. between the guitar & input jack of the amp).effects loops,in back of an amp, operate at "line" level.the problem i've been experiencing is that after plugging in a delay pedal(i'm using is a boss dd-3) to the effects loop of a couple different amp heads,i'm barely able to hear the delay pedal "effect",even with the "level" knob on the pedal set all the way up.i'm told that "instrument" level is something like -10 and "line" level is +4,so there is a mismatch in output volume, thus my problem with inability to "hear" the effect properly(volume-wise).it's really strange though because i've talked to people that use a boss dd-3 pedal through the effects loop of their amps and have no problem at all.the two heads that i have run into this situation with is a peavey 6505 head & the randall 50-watt mts module head...this is very strange & i dont understand how the same pedal supposedly works in one head but not another head of the same exact model??? i'm told that rack-mount multi-effect units are the best way to go when using the effects loop of an amp,but then again, all i ever use is a little delay effect to enhance my tone......any suggestions/comments guys???
