Epiphone ELitists are supposedly good guitars, Made in USA and better than most gibsons from what I understand....

but I´d try to avoid Musicians Fiend becasue the do nothing but sell GC´s seconds from what I understand.... And having seen the shady things GC does and heard some of the stories, I tend to believe that.

That said they´re the Wal-mart of instruments any way and should be avoided already on groulds of that...

Elitists are really nice, but made in Japan with made in USA pickups and electronics. I'm with Zerb on MF too. Look elsewhere for one.

:laugh2: Yup, that would be it. Before I got my LP Standard Plus, I was looking for an Elitist but couldn't find any locally to play. I'm happy with the one I have though.

It's a great guitar for the money. Some agree that they are made better than Gibsons today.

Buy a used Gibson LP studio! $1100 is a bit much for a MIJ guitar in most cases!
