Any long term reactions for Lil 78?

I have been pondering the Lil 78 for a while and is there any users digging them and how do they compare to other Strat size buckers and would one in the bridge mesh well with other pickups? . Currently rockin ( Bridge position of various guitars ) a Lil 59, Cool rails, Fury, Stk s 7, Stk s9, Injector and lace blue.

ive not tried one in my guitars. i did play a guitar with one in the bridge and it sounded good. less meaty than a lil59 but seemed like similar output

I never owned one, but played with one a few times...it is like a more dynamic version of the JB Jr. Less volume, but on the brighter side. I think it would be best with at least some distortion rather than clean.

I appreciate the responses, I also know you really won’t know until you try it for yourself. But it’s still fun to talk about it.

i tend to use full size buckers or single coils in my guitars but ive used most of the single coil sized duncan buckers at some point

I'd guess that it is because the typical 78 user is a VH fan. And as such, they only want the humbucker version.

But I'd have to ask Duncan Marketing why they made a lil' 78.

I am guessing there is no shortage of strat-playing VH fans that don't want to carve up their guitar.
