Any love for Breedlove acoustics?

I went to a music store yesterday and picked up a couple of these. They sounded good, but more than anything, they were a dream to play.

Are they reputed to be any good? These were (I assume) mid grade guitars .... in the $600 range. Experience?

Re: Any love for Breedlove acoustics?

My friend and I have only gotten to check them out in music shop, and they are really nice. They look great and feel like they are well built.

Re: Any love for Breedlove acoustics?

I think forum bro subanots works for Breedlove.

Played a bunch. My #2 practical choice right under a good Takamine….

Mid grade Breed > Mid line Tak, based on my recent playing

Re: Any love for Breedlove acoustics?

I have a Pro Series, USA-made Breedlove (C25/CRH Rosewood back and sides with Red Cedar top) and it's a dream to play, especially plugged in. Mine has the D-TAR MultiSource which, in my biased opinion, is a really great pickup system. Together, the Breedlove with the D-TAR are a lean, mean, tone machine.

By the way, last time I was at Breedlove, I saw subanots while I was walking around the production floor.

I have one of the import line, the Passport OM: great guitar for the money.

Sent from my iPad using a bunch of electrons, copper, and probably some fiber optic cable

Breedlove, represent! Woop woop!

Guitars are pretty awesome. Aren't you guys glad that you play guitar?

Re: Any love for Breedlove acoustics?

Update: recently got a Takamine….but not because of no love for Breedlove.

Update:

I recently purchased a MIC Pursuit Dreadnaught. It sounds great acoustically and amplified. I'm just having a hard time adjusting to the string tension (or finger pressure required) compared to an electric. My technique is worse than I thought. It seems that an acoustic guitar is as revealing as a clean tone on a Telecaster.

Re: Any love for Breedlove acoustics?

I'm not sure the exact model, but I have a mahogany dreadnought. It's a very nice guitar.

Re: Any love for Breedlove acoustics?

Having owned seven Breedloves, you could say that I think highly of them. I kind of got out of my acoustic obsession a while back and sold some off, but I still have three (American C25 SReH, American KO mando, and import Passport N250). For the money, you cannot do better than Breedlove. They hold up very well against Taylor, Martin, Gibson, and Larivee. I know, because I would have had one of those brands if they knocked my socks off.

The collection at its largest (though the 4-string acoustic bass is not shown)...

Re: Any love for Breedlove acoustics?

I've liked just about every one that I have played. My personal preferences are Gibson AJs for strumming and Martin HD28s for fingerstyle so I do not see me ever owning one. But the ones I've played seemed to be a great guitar at a great value.
