Any love for Duncan Distortion in an LP?

After having guitars in the past with a JB, Dimebucker, Wolfgang pups, Iommi's and Tonezone, I just tried the lower output stuff and I guess I prefer the growl of the hot stuff. My DiMarzio set is gonna go (anyone interested?) and I'm considering the Distortion for the bridge and would like to hear your comments. For heavy rock.

I've said this before.. and i'll say it again:

Duncan Distortion + Lespaul = Great tonal combo

I use a Duncan distortion in my Epi Lespaul custom and to be honest, I couldnt be happier with the results I get out of it. the tone is aggressive, tight, crunchy and thick. Works great with cleans, Crunch and highgain tones.

Definitly I'd say go for it.

Cheers

had dd in sg bridge and didn't like it,( don,t know about les paul) too compressed sounding

my copper les paul prototype had one when i first got it. it came out real fast lol. too bright, too harsh, too agressive with a lack of low end chunk for me....and i play metal and heavy punk. i now have a custom in the guitar which is much better. it's warmer and fatter with singing leads not screaching.

I have a 490 in the neck that can hang with any A2P on the planet!

hey man,
I just use a stock Epiphone Pickup in the neck. I was never too picky about the neck pickup.

For the heavy clip, I was running the following:
ADA MP-1 3TM modded
Carvin T100 Tube powearmp
Marshall straight 412 cab

The carvin was replaced with a VHT 2502 poweramp. I will be making new clips sometime soon.

Cheers
