i'm very much considering purchasing the engl ironball 20

Great little amp. Been a while since I spent time on one, but I dug it. What styles are you looking to play on it? I remember it excelling at the higher gain stuff.

i listen to stuff like burzum, darkthrone, slipknot, pink floyd, vektor, kalmah, dissection, pantera, shylmagoghnar
i'm mainly looking for a tight punchy low end but able to do nice cleans.

I love them
Only two guys in it
Can't remember their names but one guy does guitar/bass/drums and some synth work while the other does the vocals and synth as well

Based on your musical tastes, i would definitely say the Ironball. Great little amp, and seems built like a tank.

yeah i also like some black sabbath, slayer, and iron maiden and many more but the main things i want is a tight low end for good percussive palm mutes (similar to slipknot mick thomson tones but also be able to get beautiful gilmour cleans, etc)
the engl is more expensive than the hughes and kettner where i live but it seems more appropriate than the hughes and kettner
