Any Triple Shot - P Rail help/tutorials, videos, etc?

I have a project LP that I threw SD Triple Shots and P rails into her (I posted about this guitar a while back and from suggestions here decided on this choice). I put in the SHPR-1's as I was not lookig for something too hot, I have to say that it is pretty cool!!

With the choices and such available, the instructions that came with the Triple Shots is pretty rudimentary but fine for the wiring aspect. Is there any web resource or tutorial vids (I saw the SD vid for the P-Rails............which also helped me make my decision) out there that I can use to learn this a bit better? Not as much an expert as some here that can immediately upon hearing one note discern what kind of pickup is being used I welcome ANY reaource that can help me play with the myriad of options available to me with the P-Rail/triple Shot set up.

Any and all suggestions are welcome and I thank you in advance!

Your amplification will have a major influence on what the P-Rails will sound like.

My main interest in P-Rails pickups is the P90 half. IMO, P90s give of their best through a mildly overdriven all-valve amplifier. Playing dynamics govern how distorted the guitar sounds through an amp. There is no need to switch channels. Just adjust the saturation with the guitar's volume control(s).

As the old cliche says, it is all in the hands.

If I had p-rails I'd wire them like with THE JIMMY PAGE wiring that would be: in series. Humbucker, parallel humbucker, in phase, out of phase and the ability to split, plus the usual 3 way toggle. That way I could utilize all the possible wiring combinations that pickup offers. The other thing is use really low capacitors like .01 with a volume kit.

I use either a Marshall or a Vox. Vox is a tube while the Marshall is a Valvestate. ANyone point me in some online or written/video tutorials or such?

I personally don't know of any tutorials. But what are you trying to learn?

The Triple Shots are pretty straight forward. I think mainly it's just a matter of playing with it and learning what it can do and what sounds your guitar is capable of with your setup (which I might add is a great setup...I love P-Rails with Triple Shots).

I agree with Funkfingers, the P-90 is an incredible pup. I love the P-Rails in my guitar for its versatility, but I have to admit that I play the P-90 coil at least 90% of the time. The Rail coil (with an A8 mag next to it, and mounted next to the bridge), does some country twang pretty convincingly.
