any vox ac15 hand wired users out there,

hi guys,
just want to get some tips from you vox users, so I can get the best from my ac15hw vox amp, what style of music do you use you vox for????? what pedal are you using????? have you tried other makes of tubes?????

- Hard Rock/Metal.
- Only pedal I really use is a home-made treble booster.
- Sovtek EL84M & 12AX7LPS is what I use.

I just plug in, EQ to have as much mids as possible along with a nice amount of treble and very little bass, and crank it as loud as I can get away with (which is 10 sometimes).

you say you use sovtek tubes, have you tried other makes of tubes, if so is there a big sound/tone difference ?????

A Lot of Cat Biased amps run the power tubes real hard, you can change that...but I have had good luck these last few years with TAD 84's.
As far as pre tubes.....you should buy a few and see what you think. Modern day tubes are not too expensive.
Try an AT7 in the phase inverter...see what you think.
