Any way to fix a bad STK-S9?

I bought a used one on Reverb, went to put it in a guitar tonight and get no output. Tapped of the red wire, black and bare to ground and white to the switch. No sound. Trimmed off a bit of the wire in case it had a bad spot, but no good. Any ideas? Stinks because I really wanted to try it out. I've had it too long to send it back.

I don't have a meter, but I can bring it to work tomorrow and test it. The only way I got any output was to hook the red wire to hot and the black/bare to ground. Hooking the white wire up to hot got me nothing.

coils should be black/white top coil, red/green bottom coil i believe

On the Stack pickups the only wires are black, white and red along with the bare ground. According to the wiring diagrams on the site...the black/bare go to ground, the white to the switch and the red taped off unless you want to wire it to coil split.

ah gotcha. the old stacks had four wires and (even though i own one of these) i havent wired one in a long time. sounds like there is a break somewhere

I know that the good people at the Seymour Duncan factory can fix these for not much $$. If it turns out that it doesn't work (and you don't send it back), contact them, and they will help you out.

i assume the fix would probably cost about as much as a used stks9

Anyone in particular I should contact about possibly fixing it?

Just hang on. Probably gearing up for NAMM. They will get back to you.

Finally heard back and it looks like there's nothing that can be done. Pickup was used and over a year old, so they won't replace it and they can't repair the stack pickups due to the design. Ugh... :\
