Anybody install SD pickups in their Jazz Bass?

Hey guys, I think I want to replace the stock pickups in my American Series Fender Jazz Bass.

The bass sounds pretty good in stock trim, but I really can't stand the noise of the single coils when I adjust the knobs in the opposite direction of each other.

In addition to a hum-canceling pup, I want to add more punch and just overall more beef to my sound.
As it is, I have a pretty nice bass rig, an Ampeg SVT Classic through Eden cabs. I've done everything I can to manipulate my tone.

So, I think I want to change my pups.

Can you guys recommend one of SD's or any other's pups?
I play rock.

Thanks

I have a Duncan stacked humbucker in the neck of my J-bass.
Sounds good to me. I'm looking to get one for the bridge soon
as I get some $$$ And get rid of the dead dimarzio in there now.

I have the Hot Stacks in my Jazz bass, and they are exactly what you described as needing. Hum cancelling with a bit more output and body over stock. They sound great live or recorded and I am extremely happy with mine.

Yep, Hot Stacks are the best match from Duncan for what you need. The DiMarzio Ultra Jazz are also nice noiseless JAzz pickups. Very deep and warm.

ive put lots of hot jazz stacks in fender basses and they sound great, especially thru an ampeg

Hot stacks.
Got it.

Do the Hot Stacks produce more
output than the Quarter Pounders?

Thanks for all your help guys.

Okay, so relative to the stock pups, the Hot Stacks produce more punch and volume? and are hum-canceling?

Hmmm......Sounds like I can't go wrong with HS's.
If professionaly installed, how much should it cost.....both pickups?

Not including new strings.
