Anybody on here use Five-Twos in their Tele?...

I'm thinking of upgrading to these from Fender Tex Mex for my Tele.

but I use fuzz on some songs, so I need to know, are Five-Twos wax-potted? can they handle fuzz without microphonic feedback?

I like single coils, so I don't really want to go for a lil'59 unless I need to.

they are wax potted. i use one in my strat and really like it

So they can go all the way without squealing at me? (pun, left in intentionally)

yeah it will be fine. ive stood infront of a pair of super reverbs on 10 with mine and no microphonics, controlable feedback like a mofo but no squealing

sweet... sounds good. I'm now torn between going with these or a lil '59 1/4lb combo... very different I know, just thinking the '59 would beef up my bridge sound, with the 1/4lb as a good match level-wise whereas theses Five-Twos would give me a nice level frequency response.

hmmm...

I use a set for Strat and I think that they're good pickups. I like them better for overdrive than cleans though. For OD they're a cut above an all A2 or A5 set, IMO.

I like it in the middle position of my Strat. I liked the SSL-1 bettr in the bridge, and I use an Antiquity Surfer for the neck .About the only thing that might be better than a five two is a stacked Five-two!
