Anybody use a SD pickup booster pedal on their bass?

I am experimenting with my pedal board and was wondering if anyone used one of these pedals on their bass. I have a jazz bass loaded with SD quarter pounders and was curious about it, but there is really nowhere to try one out in Knoxville ( not that I have the time to, even if the local GC had them in stock ). Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated.

What are you hoping that the pedal will add? Level boost, midrange boost or both?

Bear in mind that the boosted frequency band has been chosen to enhance electric guitar through electric guitar amplification. It may not bring the change to bass guitar for which you had hoped.

I have used the SD Paranormal pedal to add three-band EQ cut/boost to bass guitars where there is restricted space in the control cavity. Some times it helps. Some times not.

It should be pointed out that I play through a tc electronic Staccato '51 amplifier. I tend to use a fair bit of its onboard compression, a modest amount of its "Tube Tone" overdrive crunch and I bash my strings pretty hard.
