My initial thoughts from seeing the gallery.....copies of other manufacturers designs, mainly Jackson, ESP, B.C. Rich, Dean and Gibson.

you say that like its a bad thing. have you seen the pricetags on custom stuff from the aforementioned companies?

Yeah, that's what I thought. Some nice looking stuff but nothing terribly original.

But who's to say he does it any better? And he doesn't list prices for custom made pieces on his site, he only shows prices for specific configurations. You still have to send in a quote for a custom job.

When another company already does the same thing and I already know darn well they do top notch work, I'm not going to go for another that does the same thing even if the price is lower.

Ain't the price of other custom made guitars alomst the double? Where do I find other dealers that deliver top quality to such low prices??

Again, the prices listed on his site are for the standard, specific configurations shown there. If you want a true custom piece you have to submit a quote to him just like you would with Jackson, ESP, Gibson, etc.

A friend of mine had them build a custom Randy Rhoads V and said the quality was outstanding; like getting a Jackson Custom Shop guitar but much cheaper.

The reason these guitars are rediculously cheap is because even very skilled luthiers in Poland get hit by the poor economy, wages are something like 5% of what they are in the UK. So are living costs in Poland, but the low wages still make for extremely cheap Polish goods for us.

Ok, but anyway. 1490 for a handmade guitar with those specifications is really cheap!

The reason these guitars are rediculously cheap is because even very skilled luthiers in Poland get hit by the poor economy, wages are something like 5% of what they are in the UK. So are living costs in Poland, but the low wages still make for extremely cheap Polish goods for us.

I wish I had more money than I do...LOL.

I was not aware of the wage situation over there. That does make a difference. I wonder where they get their woods from. Granted their prices are super low by any means but I wonder what wood is like compared to others in the same bracket.

You've never been to Poland, have you? .....:laugh2:

There's probably more forest than open air in Poland - I expect any timber that can be sourced locally, they'd get the pick of the crop. Anything else, probably wouldn't be hard to source high quality material for them, as anything made from wood is popular over there.

Nope. Closest I ever got to any part of Europe was a trip to London several years ago. Only one problem, France was in the way. <ba da ba!> :laugh2: (kidding)

They're pretty much an ESP, Jackson and BC Rich copyshop. They're supposed to be pretty decent though. They've recently gotten a lot of publicity I think and have gotten bogged down and raised their prices.
