Yeah, I feel like a Moron... I was thinking of the 10 and not the 100.. And my work comp wont show attached pics and stuff, so all I got in the first post was a white box with an error message.. duh!!

You have a YZ? fourfiddy?? In fairness, Next to KTM, Yamaha and Kawi have been building the best motocrossers for the last several years. The new Hondas handle great, but for some reason, Honda wont give them any power.. But since I still own an ancient CR125 (needs FULL rebuild) I still have to root red!

No premix on 450s, it's a 2010 YZ250 2 banger. Pretty much the same machine they've been selling since 2005 although they may have made a few suspension changes in 2015/2016, I haven't been keeping up, or riding much unfortunately. I can't say I'm sold on the new air forks that everyone one else is going to, seem to be hard to dial (pump) in, then they can change as they heat up. Yamaha nailed it with the SSS forks years ago, and I'm not sure anything can beat it.

Actually, the new Yamaha 250f and 450f have won every shoot out for the last few years. I love the orange bikes, have had a couple over the years, but the WP suspension isn't as good out of the box, at least on a track (it's great for off-road), I have a friend who is very fast and had his suspension reworked on his new 250SX to make it as good as his previous YZ.

After a week I have to say this is one helluvanamp. Try one if you get a chance and have a good play around with the gains and boosts. I've owned and used a lot of Marshalls and this is better than any of them.

I have test driven the smaller single-channel one a couple of weeks ago and it was really impressive and gig-ready. As it's already been said, it is pretty straightforward. I could crank my fav tones out of it in a matter of minutes. It is for you if you:

- hate the menus / submenus / sub sub menus / sub sub sub whatever workflow + layout of the popular advanced amp sims
- want to go the contemporary AxeFX / Kemper way but with the least possible controls
- like straightforward / stripped down controls
- don't need a zillion of in-house fx pedal simulations
- always liked the idea of having a great preamp / power amp / speaker cab sim but did not like that they missed a decent power amp
- can accept the idea that your tone is created by a computer
- like the idea of having a gig-ready, simplified AxeFX-like computer with quite effective power amp, for less than half of its the price
- support the idea of lugging a light box with no cab to your gig and injecting the guitar signal to the PA with a single XLR cable

It is not for you if you:

- need the analogue response of a real tube amp
- need the direct feel of dynamics where tube amps always win
- can't play without prejudices

I grew-up riding Red, Yellow, Green and Blue dirt bikes. I used to have a Ninja ZX6 that I put a lot of miles on. And last June I finally started acting a little more my age (now 48) and bought an FJR1300 and put 5,300 miles on it in three months -- riding the twisties of MT and WY mountain highways (not to mention blasting across the high deserts between the mountain ranges at high speed).

Man, that's a GREAT motorcycle! I recently tried a Honda Crosstourer at a racetrack and damn near blew my face off. Near 150 HP is no joke in a motorcycle.
That backseat looks comfy as hell. Don't remember seeing a sports tourer with a backrest in quite a while. And that windshield looks just perfect for the job.

With that said, I'd love to get to try one of these Yamaha amps. Nowhere to be seen at the local Yamaha dealership yet, and I like modeling amps but hate too complicated interface thingies.
That's why I've got a Cube and not a Line 6. :)

The usefulness of my two current amps for my situation (apartment playing and recording) is damn near zero. The Cube does have a Line-out but it sounds terrible.
So I'm seriously considering selling them both, buying a Microcube for farting around and get me a high-powered modeling amp with a focus in direct recording capabilities too, like a Blackstar ID100.

The Yamaha might be too rich, but it's the kind of thing I know I'd love instantly.

ok so my thought on this from the look of how it is set up (with the split cab of course) i was thinking its perfect for plugin guitar in to a splitter then to both channels an splitting cab (essentially turning 1 amp into 2 amps simultaneously) with different settings on each side possiblitys seem endless! i really wanna try this amp now with the cab.... *looks in wallet, moth flys out* in the future........

That back seat rest was an aftermarket thing. I always remove it for my long solo rides and around town. But if I take the wife or one of the kids, I put it back on. She's a heavy beast (MUCH heavier than my old Ninja), but she's plenty fast. I'm getting old though, so I always chicken-out at about 130mph. Me and this 70+ year old guy in a turbo Porsche Panamera were having some fun on one of my 500 mile day trips this summer in the middle of Wyoming. There is a whole lot of NOTHING out in the high deserts of Wyoming, so when he pulled-in behind me with his $180K car, I couldn't help but hit the throttle and see if I could get him to go. I have a friend with a Panamera (and several Ferraris), so I know how fast they are. I'd zip up to about 130 and then he'd come-up behind me and then I'd slow-down. We did that for a while and finally I slowed to 100 and let him pass me and disappear into the sunset. I've done 180 in my friend's Ferrari 458 Italia... but being on four wheels and surrounded by a protective cage felt a helluva lot more comfortable than being on two wheels with no cage at those speeds. I'm getting too old I guess.

Awesome! Glad to hear. That's kinda what I was thinking when I had one the THR10X practice amp, it would be killer if they could make a full size version of this, sounds like they did and more.
 
Resurrecting an old thread BUT I have to say that I love my THR100HD for gigging. I had used the THR10C as a practice amp and loved the tones but couldn't gig it with a full band. I loved my Bassbreaker tube amps but my clean tones were always lost in the mix as they were too quiet for the desired cleans (again, in a band mix.)

The 100HD, for me, got the closest tube-like clean tones and response that I was used to with my Fender tube amps AND it would stay clean even cranked (I opted for a cab with 2 Texas Heat Speakers) without lugging around a 100 watt tube amp.

Having both amps play at once is cool and makes for some unique tones but having two separate amps in one at the touch of a footswitch was amazing for gigging. Doesn't replace a good tube amp but does make for a great gigging amp. Just my experience with it.

Sweet. I'd forgotten about this thread. I've since acquired a pair of the THR10's. Nice little amps that suit my "bedroom" playing.

I think we've talked about this off and on over the years! lol

I feel that the THR10s are really a different amp than this one–the 10s have some really cool built in effects that are not included with the 100s.

But then again, the THR10s are designed for a different purpose and don't drive 100 watts.
