Anyone ever use a US-built (110V) Alesis drum machine outside the US?

Re: Anyone ever use a US-built (110V) Alesis drum machine outside the US?

Can you mail order one from India? I know shipping is a pain...

I think UpBright makes one for the SR-16, it may just be a stock photo(?).

It's probably easier to have it shipped to my company's office in India if they will do that...

I'll have to look into this--I'd much rather get it before I leave.

Thanks for the tip.

I was going to suggest if you knew someone over there already who could order it for you and have it when you get there.

That's probably what I'll do. Thanks.

Dumb question:

Why not just purchase the Arturia Spark?
Then you will have EVERY Alesis, Boss, Roland, Linn, Simmons, and a host of other drum machines all at once, plus the ability to mix n match.
If you must have a hardware unit, pair it with the SparkLE

I used the preceding Alesis (SR-15?) for many, many years. I prefer hardware because I need to be able to use it independent of any desktop or laptop (I can take this to a rehearsal space, plug it into the PA and go... .).

I needed something simple to replace the old Alesis, which died. This is a practice tool more than anything else.

Thanks.
