Anyone have a Guitar IN FLUX system??

I do. I have 4 guitars that I love and will never part with but my 5th one is in a constant state of change. I'll buy a guitar, always used, and play it for a few months, record a little, and then sell it for a another used one on EVILBAY. I try all sort of interesting guitars that I am reasonably sure I do not want to own for the long-term. It is a blast and very inexpensive since I only buy used and good deals that I can sell for a little more later. The hunt is mucho fun! Eventually I will come across one I can't part with , however, and the system bogs down and gets more expensive. Regardless, I recommend it. Right now I have a Nash Strat that is just waiting for a used PRS Mira to take it's spot.

I'm in the same boat as you. I've got two electrics and an acoustic I'll never sell, but a bunch of others that sort of come and go. I'm also completely changing out my rig from a solid-state + pod arrangement to an tube + pedal setup :D

I did that for a while until I found axes that were good enough that I didn't want to sell them. That's when the buying stopped and I'm at the point of constantly saving cash to add another piece to the stable.

I seem to keep everything I buy. If it keeps up, they're gonna start to pile up.

i only buy guitars after months of consideration and research, playing and trying all kinds of stuff before deciding what i really like, then waiting for the best deal on such an axe.

so far it's worked flawlessly...got the American Strat for $420 and the green SG for $500 and a custom Warmoth for $600 that i have no desire to part with.

I have 2 great guitars ('96 American Strat, '98 Guild D30 (Rhode Island)) and I have 3 or 4 cheap guitars that I have not parted with, but I could.

I hold onto my cheapos because I always read stories of people who "wish they'd never sold that ___________..."
