Anyone have experience with a Gretsch 7680?

I've been watching one of these at Gruhn for a while, but don't know much about them.

I've played it a couple of times when I go to Nashville, and it plays well. I'm kind of looking for something different, as most of my guitars are Strats, Super Strats and a couple of Les
Pauls.

Is there anything I should be on the outlook for that might be a deal breaker?

Any advice would be appreciated.

You referring to a Super Axe? Great guitars, but had cheesy built in phasers and such.

That's the one.

I've gathered that the built in effects were a little on the cheesy side from watching a couple of videos, but I'd probably not use them much, if at all.

This one played well and sounded nice and resonant, acoustically. I'll have to try it out through an amp the next time through town.

Not sure I'd want to crack it open to replace the pickups and possibly mess up something in the effects.
