Anyone have experience with Rio Grande Dirty Harry Jr/Dirty Harry HB Set?

Would love to hear some input on tone/how these are EQ'd. Can't find any sound samples other than the two on Rio's site.

***NECK: Rio Grande DIRTY HARRY JR - The gauntlet has been laid down! The challenge was to walk a tightrope between creating a humbucker that sounded great when it was split as well as when it is humbucking. In a perfect world, a split humbucker would still pack enough punch to take you to the hereafter, but the true crime is that in most cases you're left sounding like a pale rider.

Only one pickup provides the absolute power needed to take you where eagles dare: The Dirty Harry Jr Humbucker from Rio Grande! What do you get when you split a Dirty Harry Jr Humbucker? A Dirty Harry Jr, that's what! No empty chairs here! It has the power to put you out front and center in the line of fire! The new Dirty Harry Jr humbucking arrives in response to the popularity of it’s single coil cousins (Dirty Harry Jr for Strat and Tele), and with its “True-Splitting” 4 conductor wiring and 12 adjustable pole pieces, it brings the sweet and gnarly tones of its relatives to the humbucking arena. Get one any which way you can because it will quickly become your million dollar baby, without costing you a fist full of dollars!

Resistance - 23.5k

Rio Grande part number DHJRHB

*** BRIDGE: Rio Grande Dirty Harry Humbucker - True P-90 type construction with a ceramic bar magnet and fillister head screws for authentic P-90 sound that drops into to any standard humbucker mounting bezel. Rio has managed to balance the equation between magnet structure and resistance to provide a powerful but articulate humbucker that also emulates the classic punch of the classic P-90 when split. If you want both a powerful humbucker for solid rock tones and a single coil option with a stout midrange kick, the Dirty Harry Humbucker will make your day. 26K ohms resistance, ceramic magnet, four conductor wiring, and includes hardware and instructions. The Dirty Harry Humbucker is optimized for the bridge position. For the neck position, check out the Dirty Harry Jr. Humbucker.

My only Rio Grandes are a Texas/BBQ set. I love 'em.

Same here. A set I used to love but wasn't happy recently with the Texas neck. However, it seems to have found a home (with a BBQ bridge) in my "cheap" Tribute LP. Had another set as well a while back ... in a guitar that was stolen.

Sorry OP, I have heard a couple other Rio Grande pickups but never owned them and don't remember which ones they were. It's been too long.

Thanks! I too have had the Genuine Texas/BBQ in a LP Style Guitar and liked them...but passed them on when I sold the guitar. I picked up a Dirty Harry Set but there's really NOTHING out there on them at all sound wise that I can find. You can find plenty of the Tele and Strat Models but not the HBs.
