Anyone have or had Ibanez Artstar. Good?

I was checking out a Ibanez Arstar from about 97. It is in beautiful shape but I don't know a lot about them. He wants $375 with HSC. It plays very nice and has no nicks, scratches, I mean a 10 out of 10.
Does anyone know some pro's or con's about these guitars. I noticed the neck pocket did not look real snug and it uses a 3 bolt neck.

Whoa. for $375 go out and get yourself one of the current Artcore series guitars. You'll spend abou the same money, get a brand new guitar (they're quite nice, actually), and it will be a SET neck.

the artcores are great guitars. I always play 2- 3 different ones when I go to guitar center and havent played a bad one yet.

Yp. I'm actually thinking of getting one of the large full hollows (in orange), installing a Bigsby and a pair of TV'Trons and making myself a poor man's Gretsch. :burnout:

I have an AF 120...got it new for about a little under a grand back in '98 or '99, when I played more jazz....IMO it's a great jazz box, I tried out a bunch of hollow bodies at that time, and with the exception of a couple Gibsons that were way out of my price range, I liked the Ibanez the best. ..Ibanez does make some good hollow bodies, the George Bensonand Metheny models are really good ..... It does have a set-neck, not a bolt-on like the guitar your describing...What model is the Ibanez?

I believe it was a AS-50.

ok, I looked up that model, I've never played one before... looks like a 335 copy...I'm not too sure about that bolt on neck...still, for $375 it doesn't sound that bad....I know you could get one of the newer artcores, but some believe they're not made as well as Ibanez's older semi-hollow and hollow bodies.... Have you tried wading through some reviews at harmony central?
