They are in this guitar:

The SZ Series except the top and bottom of the line.

I have one a buddy gave to me in exchange for installing an EMG Kerry King set in his SZ. I haven't tried it yet...

Funny you should ask... Another friend of mine bought an SZ when they first came out (before the Duncan pups in them) and has never really liked the sound of the neck pup, althought the bridge was decent enough, even good by stock pickup standards. But tonight we decided the install the Duncan/Ibanez pups. Very nice. The bridge model (Like a Distortion but a bit more) is amazingly clear and has a bit more "push" and a bit more bottom than the original. And the Neck (Like a '59) is huge sounding without being too much and has a great "Tubular" tone to it.

I think those guitars with the Duncan/Ibanez pups are definately a good buy for the money. I have clips of the bridge model before and after if anyone wants to hear them.

I'm bumping it because it kinda goes with Lester's question about DD's.

These are the only ones I've tried and I liked them.

There you go...

HEy Pinto could you give me a link to your clips for the IBanez/duncan pickups! before and after? by the way did you use the USA made ones or the Imports?

By the way how did you friend get his hands on theese pickups?

Thanks!

Dude if this is the case i will be using these in place of my 81's! :saeek:
i always really liked duncan distortions(USA) but wanted more push and bottom in it and did not want to spend $140 for a custom shop one!!!!
so these are the KEY words you mentioned for me(PUSH/BOTTOM)!
Pinto i really hope the one i am waiting on( found one for sale for $20!)
has the tone you say it does because you will see my LP's with these in place of the 81's, i **** you not! :burnout:

The one I like is the one with the one row of slot screws and a row of Allen screws with Duncan/Ibanez screened on the front.

I hope that you like it too!
