Anyone know about Pro Tone pickups?

Yesterday I stopped at a pawnshop on the other side of town and noticed a blond Squier hanging--got a little closer and noticed the little Pro Tone decal and that they'd marked it at $99.00 (gulp!). I checked it out, and it seemed to be in good shape, needs a setup, but I went ahead and put money down on it and will pick it up on June 1.

Only thing is, they didn't have an amp on the floor to play it through (hey it's WV) so I'm curious as to what to expect--I found one clip on the JVSquier site which sounded really glassy, but also like they just used one setting for the whole clip. The pickups are supposed to be Alnico, so I'm hoping they'll be somewhat vintage sounding. Maybe someone here can tell me more about it. Thanks.

If it is stock, it should have 500K pots and the scratchy switch. You most likely replace these items. The pups are not bad, but you'll probably replace them too. I have Fat 50s in mine. It is really my favorite Strat.

Is this it?

If so, you'll love it.

Yep, that's the one. I've got an extra switch and pots laying around, so I'm good on that score, I can change the pickups later if the stocks are usable for awhile--I'd never seen a Pro Tone around here, just online. But for $99.00 I knew I was getting a deal, just had to be cool so the clerks didn't catch on, heh, heh.
