My friend just got a 70's mockingbird from his uncle. We're just tryin to find out how much its worth. The serial # is 87698, its classic white, kahler hardtail bridge, 6-in-line non reverse headstock, and I think it has Lawrence lx pickups? Thanks for any help

Yes I know. It's a longshot, but if he has or knows where this guitar is then its worth the try.

I would try e-mailing the dude. I doubt he will ever find your message here. Much more likely that his e-mail address from 2005 will still be the same.

What is so special about this baby? Are you one of the builders cause you have the paperwork and $hit?

The Story is this -

My dad was a phenomenal musician. He saved all of his money back in 1983 when I was born to get his "baby". It was this guitar. It was in fact purchased in July of 1983, its not a 70's. He had it ordered from the factory, I have the original bill of sale, with his options, the warrantee card, and a personal letter from the builder with the serial number stated and his comments on the guitar ona watermarked paper from BC rich (Builders nickname was Berlin). One of which cracks me up "I played your guitar, hope you dont mind".

My dad had to sell his baby to put food in our mouths, and always talked about how this was the one guitar he had personal attachment to and wish he wouldnt have sold it. My father passed away a couple years ago, and I recieved all his music stuff, the one thing him and I truly had in common. We found the folder with everything from this custom BC rich and its all in mint shape, and this basically is the one thing I really desire to have of my dad's because of its meaning to him, and his sacrifice so we could have a home.

There is more to it, but that is the basis of the story. If I can ever get this guitar, it would mean so much to me.

Amazing story... Good luck in your search! It is great that you were able to happen upon the trail after someone posted the serial #. I hope the trail stays hot enough for you to follow it through to the end!

No luck at all, every once in a while I search google hoping something will pop up from this guy with an email address, so far it looks like there is a PS4 account under ledzep29 but there isnt any email address associated and not sure if it is the same guy. Just to follow through encase anyone searches this thread, my email has change, jcasinger is at hot mail dot com. Also you can search jeromecasi and see me in many forums etc. I really hope I can track this guitar down one of these days.....
