Anyone out there doing a Cliff Burton style fuzz wah these days?

Re: Anyone out there doing a Cliff Burton style fuzz wah these days?

Best i've heard was a big muff and a wylde wah... not spot on but close. Burton is the wah fuzz sound in it's perfection... part of it has to do with that he used a guitar amp and guitar cab with his bass rig I think.

My brother used a Peavey Ultra Plus Half Stack for a long time before he got a proper bass amp... and we both regret making the transition... guitar amps are just cooler!

i was fiddling around a couple days ago, got a halfway alright burton fuzz-wah sound out of this cheapo setup:
dean ml bass w/ duncan QPjB
gcb-95 wah
little big muff
cube 30 on either the session or 360 model. can't remember, wasn't bad though.

i use a Snarlin Dog Bootzilla Fuzz Wah...it's really cool to get that modern-if-by-modern-you-mean-late-70's-early-80's fuzzed-out bass tone.

i duno how close it is to Cliff tone but i play a 5-string Fender jazz bass into my 1968 Bassman half stack (more geared for guitar than bass these days...) and it sounds awesome.
