Anyone tried an A8 in a Jazz or similar?

Well, after months of trying to refinish my Les Paul, I'm giving up for a while. Found a sweet Cort guitar that plays incredibly well and has a really good tone for the money. It's exactly the feel that I've wanted out of a guitar, and it's different enough from my LP that I can keep them both.

So I've had a JB/C5 hybrid that I bought a while back, and I've got a pair of A8 magnets. I'm going to toss one in there, but I don't know if I should try the A8 in the Jazz or not. I liked the tone of the stock Jazz in my LP, but this guitar seems to be a bit brighter. BTW, the Cort I'm getting is a mahogany body/neck with rosewood fretboard and flamed maple top.

Has anyone tried this combination or an A8 in a similar pickup? How would I expect it to change the sound?

Thanks!

Yes try it , i plan to do this my self in a coming soon guitar .
See my post of Demon 8 .
The alnico 8 in the jazz should do this :
A bit less bass
more low mid and central mids
less highs
but more harmonics
more punch
attack round and full but still precise
an overall darker feel
but carefull about string pull , al8 is stronger than al5
Anyway changing mganet just takes a few minutes .
