Anyone tried the STK-s7 Stack in the bridge?

I've got a neck & middle STK-s5 (which is supposed to be close to the STK-s4)
I need a bridge pickup to match, and it has to be the narrow style to fit the top rout I've got
I can get an STK-s6 (14k) or the STK-s7 (11k)

To me, the STK-s7 looks like a better match, any opinions?

I have a guitar with the classic stack + in the neck and middle with a vintage hot stack in the bridge. I like it a lot. its warmer and fuller than the classic stack + bridge model but still is very strat like. bright and cutting. the custom stack would be a fine match too if you wanted a less sharp high end.

Hey thanks for the info Jeremy
I could only find one demo of the Vintage Hot Stack and it was a bit hard to tell
I originally thought the STK s7 would be more powerful than the STK s6 but it's not
I suppose it'd be a good match for the STK 5's (which are supposed to be slightly warmer than the 4's but otherwise identical)

Re: Anyone tried the STK-s7 Stack in the bridge?

if the stk5 is warmer than the stk4 I might go with the custom stack

Re: Anyone tried the STK-s7 Stack in the bridge?

Thanks guys, I went with the Vintage Hot stack s7 'cos I got offered a good deal
pickup + a Fender amp logo I needed for $85 posted to Oz...can't complain
Plus the pickup is going into a rare and wacky guitar so it's a lucky dip how anything's gonna sound in that
It's got narrow straight routs so I had to go with a narrow Stack type pickup.. hopefully should work good!

Thanks Jeremy, I'm sure it'll work great, thanks for the recommendation
Even if it's a bit bright, it might get tamed a bit by that big ol' brass bridge (with Fishman piezo inserts)
Also, the pickup placement is further from the bridge compared to a strat...that'll warm it up as well

When I get it all happening I'll do a youtube demo on the Parker forum
The original pickups (which were old jap Profile pu's...not that great), were carved down
to fit the routs, but they died about 15 years ago .. it's a long term project heh

Cheers, squatch
