Of what I gather from Barbers website the new DD is suppose to have more bass on tap and is all around clearer than the SS model. Has anyone tried the new DD and what were your impressions? I love the SS model with my PRS SE but its a bit dark with my LP. Hoping the new one might be the ticket. Thanks.

I've got one of the old "pre-production" models. It's not any different (that I know of) from the first round of production models. I originally got it to be the "gain channel" of my '66 Showman, but it just didn't handle that too well. I have found it to be the most versatile of any OD pedal, and actually responds to dynamics and DOESN'T SQUASH YOUR TONE until the point of gain saturation.
