If so, how did it turn out? What was your goal in using it in the bridge position?

I've use neck-type humbuckers in the bridge alot and have, for the most part, had good luck w/ them there, but never used one of Duncan's more recent offerings like the Sentient.

The sentient is a 59/jazz hybrid, both are pretty low output coils. Maybe a 59 bridge with a jazz bridge hybrid would make a better bridge. Maybe a pearly gates plus or a Wlh bridge with a jazz bridge would be good be fun.

Personally I would try all those in the neck.

The fact that it's a 59/Jazz hybrid of sorts is what attracted me to it. They say it's bluesier/warmer than either a 59N or a JazzN, and I like the idea of lower output and warmer tone, as things are usually brighter when they are lower in output.

I hate to ressurect this thread, but the Sentient is not a 59/Jazz hybrid. It has been described as tonally in between a 59 and a Jazz, but that does not mean it is a hybrid.

That is all. Have a good day.

I still would like to try the Sentient in the bridge, awesome pickup!!

Re: anyone use a Sentient in the bridge position?

Recently read a comment that it was louder than expected, and warmer when adjusted to its sweet spot. I've been wondering too about its possibilities as a slightly-stronger-than-vintage output bridge pickup.

Anyone here actually tried it in bridge position?
