Anyone used the S-Deco-5?

I emailed MJ about winding me a HOT '59 / JP bridge pup for my LP, something in the 10k range that gave me enough push to stay full for moderately high gain but with low enough output to stay clean and somewhat "airy". Warmer with a slightly softer top end than the '59 but still very clear. She emailed me back and said what I wanted was the S-Deco-5. If I wanted 10k to use the neck version in the bridge, or if I wanted a little more power use the 11.5k bridge version.

So my question is... has anyone here used one before? What are your thoughts on it?

Thanks,

Nathan

hmmm ... I seem to remember Stevo posting clips of this
That was a deco 2 10k neck version. Great pickup, but I am also interested in hearing the Deco 5 in a bridge. I'll bet it's pretty sweet indeed.
I asked about it here, a while back, and someone said "think Ace Freely tone", for what that's worth.. hmmm, Mr SemperRhythm, you have sparked my interest.

I bought exactly what you are talking about. An S-deco 5 with 10k wind. Mine was scatter wound as well. I put it in the bridge of a PRS Cu22. It was pretty cool. At that time I was in an apartment and pretty much limited to a POD XT. The Alnico 5 mag had a little too much bite for my taste. I generally like 59 bridge pups but in that axe they suffered the same problem, too much bite. I sent the S-Deco back and had MJ change the pup to an A2 mag. Much improved. That particular gtr at least seems to like A2 mags. I've had Seth, a CC, and a A2 Hybrid in that guitar and they were all killer but different. The 59', JB and C5 not so flattering in that axe.
