Anyone using a Jazz neck with an Ebony fingerboard (or a Hagström?)

Anyone using a Jazz neck with an Ebony fingerboard (or a Hagström?)

The Duncan ToneWizard never recommends the Jazz model for Ebony fingerboards; my Hagström has a "Resinator" fingerboard, a composite made to sound and act like ebony while being more consistent. I'm just wondering how faith to put in the ToneWizard. Any thoughts?

I had the jazz in my Carvin Fatboy for a long time.

It sounded great. It did all the things a good Jazz will do. I will say this, though: it sounded bigger and fuller than it typically does in a solid guitar.

I liked that; it sounded great, byt YMMV...:cool2:

I had the jazz in my Carvin Fatboy...

Is that with the solid maple body? Mine is all mahogany...any ideas on how the two would differ?

Edit: Now that I've looked those up, I only know of one person with a solid maple Fatboy. What is yours?

My Carvin is with stock woods, except that it has a lightly quilted maple top.

So, maple neck, ebony fretboard, alder back, birch sides (?), and maple top.
It has a high mid thing going, but the tone pot works well on this guitar.

I changed the pickups out a bunch of times. ight now, I have BurstBucker Pros. They sound good, but I think I want to use 250 pots...

Sorry to high jack your thread, though.

The Jazz will sound great. Don't worry about a thing.:approve:

The Jazz neck works great in my Parker PM 20 Pro-mahogany body, maple top, mahogany neck and ebony fretboard. Very snappy.
