So like the title says....I wanna trade one Cerwin Vega ER123 (16ohm), for Two Eminence Texas Heats or swamp thangs(must be 16ohm).
I recently scored an old Sun 412V loaded with 4 Cerwin Vega ER123's, and while the cab sounds amazing....Its just too damn heavy with four cast aluminium basket speakers in there....so I'm looking to swap one of the Cerwins for Two Texas Heats. Its a good trade, the Cerwin's sell for around $200 a piece (if you can even find originals), where as texas heats sell new for $70 a piece. So you'd definitely be coming out on top.
The Cerwin Vega ER123 is supposed to be one of the mythical secrets to getting Duane Allman's tone. Supposedly he used a mix of ER123's and G12H30's (55hz cone) in his 412's....or so all the info I can find online says. Personally I don't like the Allman bros. so that means nothing to me, but the ER's are some amazing sounding speakers regardless.
These are original vintage ER123's, so they are well broken in and sound amazing. The only issue with any of them is, one of the ones in the cab has a dent in the dust cap, and all 4 have a little loosening of the glue on the front gasket (they're front loaded in the cab, so the rear gaskets are fine). But a bit of rubber cement would fix the gasket issue completely...and Obviously I would be sending you one of the speakers without a dent in the dust-cap. haha.

So there ya have it....Two texas heats or swamp thangs, for One Cerwin Vega ER123. I might also accept other speakers, but they gotta be 16 ohm....Speakers I am interested in are....Emi Swamp Thangs, Cannabis Rex, Tonker, Manowar, Wizards, Tone Spotter, governor...Celestion Seventy 80, G12K100, G12H30 (or Hella tone 30), Classic Lead 80, G12-65, Vintage 30 (or Hellatone 60), G12Century....I'd prefer Eminence speakers, but might be down with Celestions depending on offers I get.
