Anyone with experence with an ibanez RGT42?

I'm looking at one on ebay.

I'm wanting to unload my gibson and get another super strat. I'm especially interested in ibanez. Only reason I'm even asking about it is due to the fact that my RG350DX was a total heap and I'm waiting to know how the RGT42 would be.

I know it's korean, but I really have never played a bad korean guitar after I set it up. I'm not exactly expecting it to have the greatest woods either, but I've got a pickup sitting around that should help.

I had one, and liked it. I ended up parting with it and getting an SZ, but the RGT is a sweet guitar. In the end, I just end up preferring set-necks or bolt-ons.

I went ahead and got it. Thanks for the input.

I've been looking at em for awhile and was mainly turned off by them being an RG without a pickguard, but I found one on ebay that someone put a pickguard on.

Cool, you got the old one with the dots, rather than the stupid shark fins. I'm betting you'll dig it :) The pickguard looks cool.

I was just looking at the auction, and FWIW, that SHOULD have an Edge Pro III, not a Lo TRS. The picture is too small for me to tell, but I'd guess the guy just doesn't know what he's talking about.

Good, it looks like it has a screw on style trem arm instead of the stupid popins.

It just got here. I screwed with the action for awhile and got it down to 0.048" with the truss rod set to have the neck perfectly straight.

Great guitar, could surely use some new pickups though. Tone zone/paf pro possibly.

I'll need to find pickups with long legs though.

*edit* Actually I take back my comment about the pickups, they're actually quite good... INF 1 neck and INF 2 bridge.
