looking for a direct fit humbucker , I don't like the noise of p90, I know the are available . but looking for some one that has done it & what there results are , I like hot pups, & play classic rock, hard rock, southern rock, I purched the Mira used about 10 or so yrs ago, & only played it twice & put it away, but due to hand & shoulder injuries , I am going to try the Mira again , it has a shorter scale than what ive been playing 24 3/4 scale.TIA,

The P90 Stack is a humbucker, and certainly thicker sounding than a regular P90. It might be the one that works for you.

What you want are the Dimarzio p90 sized super distortion or tone zone. They should fit into the p90 slot pretty well and sound pretty close to the originals, the super d for a classic rock sound and the tone zone for a big more modern tone. Pair them with a dlx plus p90 in the neck for hum free set that rocks.

If you want to stick with p90 sounds I hear the mojotone quiet coil hot p90 sounds great.

I have the Duncan p90 stacks, they are good, but not really great. They are fine if you want a p90 and a low output humbucker sound, but they lack the p90 depth and clarity.
