APH-1B match with YJM neck/middle pickups?

I've got a guitar that I'm going to try YJM neck and middle pickups in with a 500k volume and 250k tone pot to hopefully brighten them up a little. I got a great deal on a brand new chrome covered APH-1B and was thinking of trying it with the YJM pickups. I know the APH is not a high output pickup, but thought it might be a cool match for the YJM pickups. Any thoughts?

It isn't high output, but I don't hear the YJMs as being super high either. THe big difference will be in the EQ. The APH-1 is smooth and buttery..rounded highs, like a stick of butter. Think Slash. The YJMs are cleaner and clearer and certainly sound like single coils, with a percussive 'ping' at the beginning of the note. Great for those with wonderful technique.
They might work well together, although the EQ will be pretty different.

I'm not worried about the EQ. I rarely use pickups together (neck/middle, middle/bridge), so it probably won't affect me. I've got to get a 5-way switch tomorrow, then I'll be able to put it all together this weekend with the pickguard I have until I can order a different one possible, but it may look real cool with just the plain white pickguard. Truthfully as long as it sounds good that'll be all I'm concerned about.
