Arbiter Fuzz Face

Re: Arbiter Fuzz Face

The new Dunlop sicks pretty bad. If you want a killer Fuzz Fce w/o a killer price tag there are several good clones out there...my personal fav is the Analog Man Sunface.

Re: Arbiter Fuzz Face

There are countless number of fuzzface clones out there, mostly by boutique makers. I would say look up Monsterpiece fuzzes, handmade boutique stuff for about $95. For a really versatile fuzz, you can try out the Tonefactor Huckleberry ($130).Then there are the boutique staples, the Fulltone '69 and Analogman Sunface. Any flavour of fuzz you want, somebody out there is sure to have it. Run a search for fuzz on forums like TGP and HCFX, you get 5 new fuzz threads per day:laugh2:

-Fulltone 70
-Throbak Fuzzhaze
-Dallas Arbiter (reissue FF from the mid/late 90's)
-Cornell England Fuzz Face
-Diaz Square Face

-Fox Rox ZIM has FF cards
-Dunlop Fuzz Face (AFTER ANALOGMAN MODS)
-Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz (not a clone but based on a FF, and can get some very cool FFish tones)

There are many more but those come to mind...

Re: Arbiter Fuzz Face

I assume you're asking about the new FF that was at NAMM.

It's too soon to tell, since they aren't out yet, but there is a lot of buzz, since they're made with the involvement of the former Mr. "Way Huge".

Re: Arbiter Fuzz Face

I'm looking for that Gilmour DSOTM Time solo sound, would the Fulltone 69 or 70 be good for that?

Re: Arbiter Fuzz Face

I had the Dunlop one and it was okay. I did send it out to get modded and it should be getting here pretty soon I would imagine.
