Are P-90 pups Quieter than most single coils?

Generally speaking? If so, are they as quiet as humbuckers? I want to save up for a Fender TC-90, but I don't want a noisy guitar. And I am more of a Humbucker dude :smoker:

I find they are generally a bit noisier actually. That TC-90 looks pretty cool, if it phases you get a set of stacked P-90's.

So if the "phasing" is there, it would turn into a humbucking sound?

IMHO P90s are less noisy than normal single coils. Single coils buzz and p90s more like hum (but mine barely hum at all). :cool3:

P-90s hum as much as a regular single. Their tone is not at all like a humbucker, a P-90 has big upper mids, tight lows, and big highs that don't get shrill . I like them a lot.

I meant "phases" as in bothers sorry for the confusion.

The stacked P-90's are humbucking.
