Are Seth Lovers without covers sold at all?

I'm interested in trying a Seth Lover, and I was wondering if they were sold without a cover so I could save myself some money.

Actually it'd cost you more to have them without the cover because it'd be a custom order. I wanted the same thing done with Antiquities once and wanted them in zebra. MJ told me it'd be a custom shop order.

Since the covers on the Seths aren't potted on, all you have to do is cut the solder joint with a dremel and slip it off. Most of them are double cream underneath....of course that's just random coincidence.

Thanks, looks like I'm gonna have to try to come across a used Seth if I want it for under $100.

I'm looking for an individual Seth, not a set. Don't the ones with nickle covers sell for around $100 new?

And dat's the truth! The cover is very easy to remove...tho I just unsolder it and use a solder sucker, if needed, to suck up the excess solder, and don't use a Dremel tool or do anything fancy. I love the Seth Lover humbucker...I like it as much as the Antqituity. It's my favorite Duncan neck bucker..it and the Antiquity. And mine is double cream, as Jeff noted. Lew
