Are these fake pickups?

Hi Folks,

I bought a new Ltd EC-1000 Deluxe from a well known and big retailer in Germany. But I noticed that the logoprinst on the two pick ups are different. The letters on one of them seem to be more bold than from the other one.

See a picture here: https://ibb.co/mOYOnq
In real view it is a little bit more noticable.

Is that something that can happen due to the production process or might this be a hint that the pick ups are not original?

Thank you.

If it's a new Ltd and you bought it from Thomann or a similar retailer I'd be very surprised if they're not legitimate.

From my mobile I can't see any difference in the script.

Welcome to the forum!

I see a slight difference, and I doubt they would be fake. They probably have stickers on the back of the pickups, too.

Re: Are these fake pickups?

They don't look fake from the front. To really tell, we'd have to see a clear pic of the back of the pickup and the sticker that should be there. As Playas said already, Thomann is very reputable and wouldn't sell counterfeit pickups.

Re: Are these fake pickups?

Wouldnt an EC1000 Deluxe have covered pickups, though?

From what can be seen in the linked photo, it looks like too many finish scratches and swirls for that guitar to be new.
