arg. Little humbuckers and 500k pots in my guitar = way too bright.

so I put a cool rails, vintage rails, and hot rails in my highway 1 strat with a maple neck today. And new 500k pots. They are all way too bright now. Time to go back to the 250k pots.

Gibson makes a 300K if you want to split the difference...works pretty good with hot singlecoils in Fenders.

Can't you just add a capacitor to lower the "working" value of the pots? I know you can to lower it (but not raise it), I just don't remember the value you need to drop a 500K to ~250K.
