Assymetric neck profiles?

ArtieToo's post about his free Conn and it's assymetric V neck got me wondering about SRV's profile at Warmoth.

Is the 'thickest point' shifted up towards the low E string or down towards the high E string?

Re: Assymetric neck profiles?

Yep, the low E side. Take your frethand and make a C shape with it, then straighten out your fingers just a bit (leave your thumb where it is). That gives you a fairly decent look at what that neck shape is like. It's on of my favorites.

Somebody actually reads my posts? :laugh2:

Seriously though, I can't string this thing up because its missing the saddle, but I've been sitting just holding it. The neck feels good. I wouldn't have thought that I'd like this. Can't wait to play it.

An acoustic guitar made by the Conn company that someone gives you for free. ;)

Conn used to be the largest musical instrument maker in the world, specializing in brass instruments. They're still pretty big, I believe.

I had a feeling is was a free guitar but the only Conn I could think of was the horn company...I had no idea that they made guitars!!!
