The story begins with me having an ailing Boss DS-1. I took it to this place down the road that is an authorized Roland service center, it's called The Piano and Organ Center.
Anyway, I bring it up to who looks like the manager, tell him I'd installed a couple new caps, little mods. He asks me how much it is new, I tell him about $50. He looks at me like I'm retarded. He asks me why not get a new one, since the repair people are paid $40 an hour.:11: He tells me (and this is important)...
"He's just trying to save me money."
So he then says, "why don't we look in the catalog..." and he finds a DS-2, and he starts yapping about why he thinks the DS-2 is better and blah blah blah, and tells me he could give me a deal...
:bsflag:
and that for $80 I could get the DS-2 new (not that I'd want it anyway) and I wouldn't have to mod it (But I WANT TO!!!).
Bloody salesman.:butkick:
