I'm not talking about bridge pups with 52mm pole spacing, got lots of those. I'm talking about covers (chrome) long enough to fit trembucker pups.
Typical modern humbucker bridge pups (even with the 52mm pole spacing) are only about 68-69mm overall length. And it's easy to find covers that are 68-70mm long (2 11/16"-2 3/4"). But a trembucker like the TB-4 or Alt 8 are 72mm or 2 13/16" long. They absolutely will not fit inside a typical cover, no matter how hard I try to force it. The width is perfectly fine, it's just the length that is deficient.
I know that the hole in pickup mounting rings is too short to fit a cover that is 72mm long, but that's not a problem at all...very easy to make the mounting ring fit. I just need longer covers.
So, anyone know where I can buy covers that have 52mm pole spacing and are at least 72mm long?
