o well, I had this very small compact 2x10 cabinet loaded with 2x12 Pyle Drivers. It sounded really fantastic, excpet when i put my amp head on top it would vibrate and shake the head and make a awefull noise cause it was too small and light.
So genius that I am, I decide to make a baffle today and stick them into a cut down 2x12 Peavey cabinet it also took me half a day to make awhoile ago.
LOng story short, I plugged it in this evening and it was a dismal failure. Sounded awefull! I didnt have such a great day today all the way around, also blowing 170.00 ona crummy ebay neck.
One good thing is I was dismayed at the prospect of dismantling the cabinet and that only took 5 minutes or less.
Back to the old drawing board, and I'll be looking for a good 4x10 cabinet ( do they even make a decent 2x10?) i guess after I start makeing some money cause Im about in the poorhouse.
I just got my first experince with stocking 10's in a cabinet today and they definitly need proper internal volumne or they sound like hell.
These wrere the pyles that are supposedly used in a open back 4x12 super reverb by Derek Trucks, so I thought theysd sound great in that big honkin ported Peavery cabinet but oh well.
