Bad Horsie Wah. Is it the best?

I would like to have a Wah pedal that does'nt have a switch. True bypass.
Whatever the tone I use, I wanna be able to Wah that sound without any
alteration. Is the Bad Horsie the best thing for that matter?
Remember, I don't want to have any change in the tone when I use a wah. Not clearer and fatter. Just Wah the sound I play. Is it possible?

I can't seem to like those springloaded Morleys. They use some strange circuitry that doesn't sound as good to me as the traditional type.

I'd suggest. Fulltone, Budda, Teese, or Dunlop 535Q.

whatever you do don't get the regular dunlop wah, i have this and while it sounds good it has a mind of its own, sometimes for a week it will work and then it will just not work for a day then work the next day etc., he thinks hes sooo funny.......

What I don't like about Fultone or Dunlop is that they have a switch and the tone change when you clic on it. I want one that on or off, the tone stays the same. Does it exites?

I like the idea of having a spring-loaded wah pedal. It's a pain in the ass for me to move the pedal all the way up to turn it on, then move it all the way back down, then back up again to get that cool sound that everyone creams their jeans over. I'd just like to step on and step off and let that be the end.

I always keep forgetting to buy a bad horsie though. I think that's my problem. :D

Ibanez have just released the WD7 wah pedal, the weeping demon, wot a name!
Its looks very cool, it activates when u stand on the thing, and turns off when you stand off, and the pressure is gone.

It has had some very good reviews, and is very tweakable, low mid and high frequencys are adjustable.

It is a new product so not sure how available it is yet...

Dunlop Cry Baby Model 95Q activates as soon as you push down on the pedal and deactivates when you step off of it. Plus it has control knobs for volume boost and the amount of wah you want mixed in. The volume boost switch is on the right side and you can activate it by tapping it with the side of your foot. I got mine used off eBay for $50.

Yeah, that Ibanez looks interesting. That's one wah pedal I want to try, as soon as I see one in stores.

Re: Bad Horsie Wah. Is it the best?

however to get the two best kinds of wah you need two pedals...
so i would recomend either a regular wha (kind that dose the intro to voodoo chile'"
and the bad horsie that gos "WWWWAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!"
just go on the sounclips of the bad horsie 2
actualy no..... ill post them here

Re: Bad Horsie Wah. Is it the best?

I've tried this and that but nothing could beat my trusty old JH1S Dunlop...

Re: Bad Horsie Wah. Is it the best?

i've got a bad horsie II, and while it works great for more modern stuff, i don't find it fits for more classic rock stuff, just my opinion though.

Re: Bad Horsie Wah. Is it the best?

Yep, I agree. I have a Bad Horsie, and it's great for modern rock and lead playing, but not great at all for old school / funky stuff.

Re: Bad Horsie Wah. Is it the best?

I love my Bad Horsie two, i use it for everything.

Re: Bad Horsie Wah. Is it the best?

Well, I've played all the Dunlop models and out of them would suggest only the 95Q, 535Q, and the DB-01. All great, very easy to use and versatile with great tones.

I know exactly what your talking about. I used to play a crybaby which is great for classic tones, but sucks for modern. I got a Morley Tremonti Power wah that just rips. It just flat out WAHHHHHHHHHS. I played a Bad Horsie too thats real similar. Give one a try, you won't be sorry.

Re: Bad Horsie Wah. Is it the best?

I'm seriously tempted to go after the Fasel Dunlop Classic after hearing those tone clips ... and I'm not much of a wah guy
