I have an Egnater Tweaker 40 112. One of the power tubes is microphonic and I can see it arcing. I already ordered a matched pair and plan to rebias.
The strange behavior has to do with the effects loop. I was planning on running the amp with the master turned all the way down and out of the effects send into my Universal Audio OX Stomp. While testing there is a lot of noise, humming and oscillation. Additionally there is no output, other than the noise, unless the power amp is turned up. I also tried plugging a cable into the return with the other side into an unpowered pedal. That made it so there was no signal to the power amp, except there was still some bleed coming out of the speaker. The loop is a series tube driven loop and all 3 preamp tubes were tested and swapped for known good 12ax7.
I figured the bad tube could be causing the noise in some way, but not sure why the effects loop output is affected by the master volume.
