Ballpeen Hammer...bones and painted stones bayou

Re: Ballpeen Hammer...bones and painted stones bayou

that sounds like a great project

I was just looking at Nationals today at Buffalo Brothers. They had a '32 that was in rough shape, but had the tone. I think a Polychrome Tricone is more in my budget though. They also had a deep sounding Polychrome Delphi.

anyway, good job. as I listened to it, I couldn't help but think I'd like to hear it start with a soft, almost spoken vocal, solo, dry, up in the mix and forward ... a contrast that would draw the listener in

I liked the loose, spooky mid section

Nice piece - it has an early Fleetwood Mac sound to me.

This tune was a demo I recorded for the upcoming Chris Whitley tribute /appreciation disc...

My respects to a great songsmith expressionist.

This is me, my guitar, and some percussion here at my studio.
My national a mic and my DTAR solstice.

Hey Curly...thank you bro. I appreciate the listen!!
The arrangment is faithful to Chris's... I made it my own completely while trying to honor the intensity and spirit.
